When you start writing there are a few things that you should keep in mind. You can easily do an online writing course or read a lot about how to write fiction so that you get good at it. Writing fiction is not really hard, but it requires imagination, and the basic knowledge of grammar, spelling and technique. Many top writers do have a degree.

When you write fiction you must remember that it is something that cannot be learned. You have to have a natural talent for fiction stories. Many writers do not study writing for fiction purposes. They might just do a course to get the basic layout techniques and sentence structure.

There is one important thing you have to remember. A lot, if not all, new writers always make mistakes in the formatting of their writing. All areas of writing have a different format, for example, film script formats are different to TV scripts. Also, novels are different to TV and film scripts, and so are theatre plays. These are things you will have to bear in mind.
